Blida: Arrest of a Sorceress Behind the Theft of More Than 30 Billion Centimes

The Economic and Financial Crimes Squad of the Judicial Police has arrested a sorceress and dismantled a criminal network consisting of eight individuals involved in the theft of funds from a private company. The operation was carried out in collusion with an employee of the same institution, resulting in the seizure of talismans, forged documents, and items related to witchcraft and sorcery.

The case began when the company’s management filed a complaint regarding the embezzlement of significant sums from its bank accounts, exceeding 30 billion centimes. Judicial police officers launched an in-depth investigation that uncovered an organized criminal plot in which the employee exploited the institution’s trust to facilitate the seizure of large amounts of money in stages.

Investigations revealed that the suspects used forgery in accounting and administrative documents to hide the financial deficit and cover up the embezzlement. This was achieved by manipulating data and preparing sham documents to give a legal appearance to the suspicious transactions.

In a related context, it was found that the network members relied on practices associated with sorcery and witchcraft, using talismans and related objects for psychological influence and to camouflage their criminal actions.

The operation led to the arrest of eight individuals, including the employee in question. Authorities recovered part of the criminal proceeds and seized a luxury car purchased with the stolen funds, along with a collection of talismans, forged documents, and items linked to sorcery.

The suspects were presented before the Public Prosecutor at the competent court on charges of forming a criminal association, embezzlement of private funds, forgery and use of forged commercial, financial, and banking documents, identity theft, fraud, practicing sorcery for financial gain, money laundering, and complicity, in accordance with the provisions of the Penal Code and related laws.
