The Minister of Energy and Renewable Energies, Mourad Adjal, chaired a meeting on Monday dedicated to studying and following up on several strategic files related to the activity and management of the sector, according to a statement from the ministry.
During this meeting, held at the ministry’s headquarters in the presence of several key officials, a number of main axes were examined, such as the risk map and the status of the Ain Oussera and Oumache (Biskra) stations.
The progress of work regarding the completion of the electricity production plant in Niger, which falls within the framework of the cooperation between Algeria and Niger in the field of energy, was also examined.
Adjal listened to technical and evaluative presentations provided by the concerned officials, where he stressed the extreme importance of these files in enhancing the sector’s performance and ensuring the continuity and reliability of public services provided to citizens, the statement added.
In this context, the Minister emphasized the optimal management of energy projects and facilities, while respecting completion deadlines and quality standards, contributing to improving the level of public service, supporting economic development, and consolidating the sector’s role as a fundamental pillar in achieving national energy security.
Furthermore, according to the same source, Adjal issued a series of directives and instructions aimed at accelerating the pace of project completion, strengthening coordination between various actors, and following up on the implementation of decisions taken on the ground.
