The Minister of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion, Kamel Rezig, chaired a meeting dedicated to producers and importers of plastic intended for packaging, who are members of the Algerian Economic Renewal Council, headed by Kamel Moula. This meeting is part of the participatory sessions organized by the Foreign Trade and Export Promotion sector with various production branches.
This meeting comes within the context of establishing a consultative and dialogue-based approach with economic partners, aiming to organize the plastic packaging sector and regulate its activity mechanisms to ensure market balance and meet the needs of the sectors using these materials.
During the meeting, the current state of the sector was reviewed in terms of national production capacities, imports, and demand volume. The importance of supporting producers and importers through clear regulatory mechanisms was also emphasized.
