The Research and Intervention Brigade (BRI) of the Tindouf Provincial Security has dismantled a criminal network specializing in the illegal trafficking of psychotropic substances.
According to a statement from the Algerian Police, the case followed the effective use of information regarding two suspects in possession of a significant quantity of psychotropic substances inside a vehicle intended for distribution.
Investigations conducted by the Research and Intervention Brigade of the Provincial Judicial Police Service in Tindouf, under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office, led to the arrest of two individuals aged 20 and 22, and the seizure of 30,053 capsules of Pregabalin 300 mg.
A four-wheel-drive vehicle used for transporting and distributing these substances was also recovered, along with a sum of money from criminal proceeds.
The two suspects were presented before the Public Prosecutor at the Tindouf Court.
