Roads closed due to weather fluctuations

Rising water levels and snow accumulation have led to the closure of several roads in the provinces of Tizi Ouzou, Bouira, Djelfa, Blida, Tlemcen, and Relizane, according to a statement released by the National Gendarmerie Command on Sunday.

The statement explained that snow accumulation caused the closure of National Road No. 33, connecting the provinces of Tizi Ouzou and Bouira, specifically in the Asoul area of the Ait Boumahdi municipality and the Akoukar area of the Bechloul municipality.

Rising water levels also resulted in the closure of National Road No. 1, linking the provinces of Djelfa and Laghouat, at the Wadi El Mayet bridge in the municipality of Hassi Bahbah.

Provincial Road No. 110, connecting the provinces of Blida and Tipaza, was closed at the Ben Hamdani center in the municipality of Ben Khelil due to rising water levels. Additionally, Provincial Road No. 52, linking the provinces of Relizane and Mostaganem, was closed at Douar El Salhia in the municipality of Beni Zentis.

In Tlemcen province, National Road No. 22, connecting the municipalities of Tirni and Sebdou at Tell Tirni village in the Tirni municipality, was closed due to rising water levels. The statement confirmed that traffic on all other roads remains normal.
