Tizi Ouzou: Dismantling of a Criminal Network Involved in Forging State Seals

The Research and Investigation Department of the National Gendarmerie in Tizi Ouzou has dismantled a criminal network consisting of two individuals involved in the forgery and counterfeiting of state seals and stamps, and their intentional use.

According to a statement by the National Gendarmerie, the operation was carried out under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities, following information regarding the suspicious activities of an individual forging administrative documents and counterfeiting state seals.

Upon searching the residence of one of the suspects, administrative documents, certificates from banking institutions, and public and private entities were seized, along with computer equipment, magnetic storage devices, and a sum of money.

Following the completion of all legal procedures, the suspects were presented before the competent regional judicial authorities. They face charges including the felony of counterfeiting state seals and stamps and their intentional use, the misdemeanor of manufacturing seals, stamps, or state marks for any authority without written permission, and the misdemeanor of using forged documents issued by public institutions for the purpose of obtaining authorization.
