National Gendarmerie units in Tlemcen, in separate operations, dismantled an organized criminal network involved in smuggling drugs from Morocco into national territory.
According to a statement from the Ministry of National Defense, these operations resulted in the seizure of approximately one quintal and 20 kg of treated hashish and the arrest of six individuals. Authorities also seized a sum of money from the proceeds of this criminal activity exceeding 236 million centimes, nine mobile phones, two drones, and a utility vehicle.
These results achieved in the field of combating organized crime and smuggling once again confirm the approach adopted by the High Command and its determination to fight these criminal groups. They also highlight the vigilance of the People’s National Army units and their adaptation to the various methods and tactics used by criminals to flood the country with these toxins.
