Minister of State, Minister of Energy and Mines Mohamed Arkab, is conducting a working visit to the Republic of Niger today, Monday, according to a ministry statement.
The visit is part of reviewing the latest developments in Sonatrach Group’s activities in Niger, particularly regarding the follow-up on the exploration and research project at the Kafra oil field in northern Niger.
The Minister of State and his accompanying delegation are expected to hold meetings with the Nigerien side to discuss the progress of the strategic Trans-Saharan Gas Pipeline project and strengthen coordination and consultation mechanisms between the parties.
The Minister of State is accompanied during this visit by the CEO of Sonatrach, Noureddine Daoudi, and the General Manager of Sonatrach International Holding, Bouarara Cherif, along with officials from the ministry.
