Heavy rain and strong winds forecast for several provinces

The National Meteorological Office has reported strong winds and heavy thunderstorms throughout Monday. The office stated that significant thunderstorms with rainfall amounts ranging between 40 and 50 mm are expected until noon today in the provinces of Mostaganem, Chlef, Mascara, Relizane, Tiaret, Tissemsilt, Aïn Defla, Tipaza, Algiers, Boumerdes, Blida, Médéa, and Bouira.

In another alert, the same services predicted continued thunderstorms in the provinces of Tizi Ouzou, Bejaia, Jijel, Skikda, Annaba, El Tarf, Sétif, Guelma, and Souk Ahras, with quantities exceeding 50 mm until 11:00 PM. The provinces of Batna, Oum El Bouaghi, Constantine, Mila, and Bordj Bou Arreridj will also see continued significant thunderstorms until noon today.

Furthermore, the meteorological office forecast continued strong winds with speeds exceeding 90 km/h until 3:00 PM this Monday. The wind alert includes the provinces of Tlemcen, Sidi Bel Abbès, Saïda, Tiaret, Naâma, El Bayadh, Laghouat, Djelfa, M’Sila, Ouled Djellal, Aïn Témouchent, Oran, Mostaganem, Mascara, Relizane, Chlef, Tipaza, Algiers, Boumerdes, Tizi Ouzou, Bejaia, Jijel, Skikda, Annaba, and El Tarf.
