Presidential Decree Issued for the Establishment of the National Autism Center

The presidential decree concerning the establishment, tasks, organization, and operation of the National Autism Center has been issued, according to the Ministry of National Solidarity, Family, and Women’s Issues.

The Ministry stated that the creation of this center follows the directives of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, who instructed the strengthening of care and support for individuals with autism spectrum disorder.

The center’s responsibilities include developing national programs and curricula for people with autism, particularly in the areas of diagnosis, early detection, rehabilitation, and treatment.

The center will also implement, monitor, and evaluate the National Autism Plan, which was approved by the President on June 1, 2025.

The Ministry indicated that the National Autism Center will be followed by the establishment of specialized local centers, starting with four regional centers to provide care across the country.
