Mujahid Belkacem Tebboune passed away on Tuesday in the municipality of Mechria, Naama province, at the age of 92, according to the Directorate of Mujahideen and Rights Holders of the province.
The late Mujahid was born in 1934 in the municipality of Boussemghoun, El Bayadh province. He joined the ranks of the National Liberation Army in 1956, where he held various responsibilities during the glorious liberation revolution.
The deceased participated in numerous battles and clashes against French colonial forces in the second zone of the Sixth Historical Wilaya, including the Battle of El Gaada in Aflou (Laghouat) and the Bondenzir area ambush at Djebel M’saad.
The body of the deceased will be laid to rest in his birthplace in the municipality of Boussemghoun.
On this painful occasion, the Minister of Mujahideen and Rights Holders, Abdelmalek Tachrifet, offered his deepest condolences and sincere feelings of sympathy to the family of the deceased and all members of the revolutionary family, praying to Almighty God to grant him His vast mercy and inspire his family with patience and solace.
