The Public Treasury has announced the official launch of the subscription process for sovereign Ijarah Sukuk – usufruct, starting tomorrow, January 27. This process represents a significant milestone in the development of the national financial market and the strengthening of the Islamic finance system in Algeria. It is part of a vision aimed at diversifying state funding sources, mobilizing national savings, and providing financial instruments compliant with Islamic finance principles as a complementary mechanism to existing financing methods.
Sovereign Ijarah Sukuk – usufruct is a unique financial product in the Algerian market, both in terms of its nature and its issuance mechanism. It is backed by real state-owned assets and offers an investment opportunity with an attractive, secure, accessible, and transparent return, meeting the growing demand for products compliant with Sharia principles.
Given the exceptional nature of the operation and the target issuance volume, the subscription process is limited and will be closed as soon as the specific issuance objectives are met, which enhances its attractiveness and strategic importance.
The subscription will be open to the public through authorized institutions, following the procedures that will be detailed on the official website dedicated to Sukuk. This initiative reflects the public authorities’ commitment to enhancing financial inclusion, stimulating the capital market, and building trust in new financial instruments.
The Public Treasury invites all citizens, residents and non-residents, who wish to participate in this process to contact authorized partners, including banks, insurance companies, and provincial treasuries, to obtain all necessary information and complete the subscription process within the specified deadlines.
