The Public Treasury has announced the official launch of the subscription process for sovereign Sukuk Al-Ijarah (Usufruct), starting tomorrow, January 27. This process represents a significant milestone in the development of the national financial market and the strengthening of the Islamic finance system in Algeria. It is part of a strategy aimed at diversifying state funding sources, mobilizing national savings, and providing financial instruments compliant with Islamic finance principles as a complementary mechanism to existing financing methods.
Sovereign Sukuk Al-Ijarah (Usufruct) is a unique financial product in the Algerian market, both in its nature and issuance mechanism. It is backed by real state-owned assets and offers an attractive, secure, accessible, and transparent investment opportunity, meeting the growing demand for products compliant with Sharia principles.
Due to the exceptional nature of the operation and the target issuance volume, the subscription process is limited and will close once the specific issuance objectives are met, enhancing its strategic importance and appeal.
Subscription will be open to the public through authorized institutions, following the procedures outlined on the official website dedicated to Sukuk. This initiative reflects the public authorities’ commitment to enhancing financial inclusion, revitalizing the capital market, and building trust in new financial instruments.
The Public Treasury invites all citizens, residents and non-residents, who wish to participate in this process to contact authorized partners, including banks, insurance companies, and provincial treasuries, to obtain the necessary information and complete the subscription process within the specified deadlines.
