Citizens Expect Actions, Not Justifications

A series of evaluation meetings for local executive directors in the housing sector has begun across various provinces of the country. According to a statement from the Ministry of Housing, the process is part of a scheduled work program covering four provinces daily, under the supervision of the Minister of Housing, Urban Planning, and the City.

The Minister of Housing, Mohamed Tarek Belaribi, emphasized that the next phase requires doubling field efforts, accelerating the pace of completion, respecting contractual deadlines, and establishing digital sovereignty as a fundamental pillar of the sector’s strategy.

The Minister stressed the need to combat all forms of bureaucracy and administrative stagnation, improve the quality of implementation, ensure project quality, and enhance coordination between central and local services through the introduction of new mechanisms.

The Minister of Housing also stated, “Citizens do not expect any justification from us, but rather action. We do not measure our performance by statements, but by tangible results on the ground.”

These meetings are part of the strict periodic monitoring of the implementation level of housing programs in their various forms, as well as public equipment projects and urban development operations across different provinces.

They also aim to strengthen monitoring and coordination mechanisms between the central administration and local services to ensure the acceleration of completion and improve the effectiveness of field performance. The meetings aim to conduct a comprehensive evaluation of the completion record and assess the progress of the planned projects.
