Strong winds hit 41 provinces

The National Meteorological Office announced that very strong winds, occasionally exceeding 120 km/h, are expected to hit 41 provinces. The weather service warned of continued very strong winds with speeds exceeding 100 km/h until noon tomorrow, Thursday.

The alert concerns the provinces of Tlemcen, Oran, Ain Temouchent, Mostaganem, Sidi Bel Abbes, Saida, Tiaret, Tissemsilt, Mascara, Relizane, Naama, and El Bayadh.

The office also warned that very strong winds exceeding 100 km/h will continue until noon tomorrow, Thursday, and may exceed 120 km/h starting from 2:00 PM today, Wednesday, until 9:00 PM. This warning applies to the provinces of Chlef, Tipaza, Algiers, Boumerdes, Tizi Ouzou, Bejaia, Ain Defla, Blida, Medea, and Bouira.

Meteorological reports indicated that very strong winds exceeding 100 km/h will persist until 6:00 AM tomorrow, Thursday, in the provinces of Jijel, Skikda, Annaba, El Tarf, Bordj Bou Arreridj, Setif, Mila, Constantine, Guelma, Souk Ahras, Batna, Oum El Bouaghi, Khenchela, Tebessa, and Biskra.

Additionally, the services warned of continued very strong winds exceeding 90 km/h until noon tomorrow, Thursday, in the provinces of M’Sila, Djelfa, Laghouat, and Ouled Djellal.
