Gold exceeds $5,200 per ounce for the first time globally

Gold prices recorded a new historic level in global trading after surpassing the $5,200 per ounce mark for the first time in trading history, according to global stock exchange data.

Gold futures for April delivery on the COMEX exchange in New York rose to $5,254.5 per ounce, an increase of $133.9 or 2.61%.

Gold had previously recorded a record level of $5,100 per ounce before continuing its ascent to current levels. This rise represents the highest historical level gold has reached since it began trading in global markets.
