Operational teams of the Judicial Police services at the Ouargla Provincial Security managed to seize no less than 2,499,280 psychotropic substance pills of the “Pregabalin” type during the year 2025 across the province’s jurisdiction, according to a statement from the security body.
The activities of the relevant services during the same year also resulted in the seizure of 49.939 kilograms of treated cannabis and 2.865 kilograms of hard drugs, specifically cocaine, according to the same source.
During the past year, 2,200 drug-related cases were recorded across various areas of the province, involving 2,270 individuals. Criminal files were prepared against them, and they were presented before the competent judicial authorities, which issued temporary detention orders for 315 people.
