Saihi Issues “Red Card” to Negligent Employees

Minister of Labor, Employment, and Social Security, Abdelhak Saihi, chaired a “decisive” coordination meeting today, Sunday, at the ministry’s headquarters. The meeting, which included central administration officials, was dedicated to analyzing the activity reports of various structures and evaluating the sector’s performance during the past month of February.

The Minister began the meeting by listening to detailed presentations on the achievement rates recorded between February 3 and 28. The reports focused on the progress of projects and the digitalization of public services. While praising the efforts made, Saihi emphasized that the current stage requires “absolute discipline” and the adoption of an approach based on measurable and evaluable results.

The Minister also directed modernization officials to establish a central “dashboard” that is updated periodically to monitor the activities of the bodies under supervision. This new system will include precise indicators to measure the processing times of citizens’ files, the level of user satisfaction with services, the financial situation, and the extent of commitment to the “roadmap.”

In contrast, the Minister issued a series of strict directives, foremost of which was accelerating the completion of pending projects according to a binding schedule, with each party held responsible for the consequences of negligence. He also categorically emphasized that no delay in enabling citizens to obtain their rights would be accepted, under penalty of legal and administrative accountability, as well as continuing to simplify procedures through remote services to reduce bureaucratic delays.

He further stressed that the public facility is a “trust” that must be performed away from any practices that harm its image. Abdelhak Saihi concluded the meeting by emphasizing that the ministry will spare no effort to ensure public performance that meets the aspirations of citizens, stressing the establishment of a culture of accountability and linking responsibility with reckoning as a fundamental pillar for building a state of law and institutions.
