The management of MC Alger has announced the departure of South African coach Rulani Mokwena from the club’s technical staff. The club’s management explained that this decision came after the coach activated a clause to terminate his duties at the head of the first team, as the contract included a provision requiring the coach to pay two months’ salary if he wished to leave.
This decision followed a meeting between the coach and the club’s management, during which he expressed his conviction to end his experience with the team after an eight-month tenure. During this period, Mokwena led the club to win the Algerian Super Cup. Under his supervision, the team also maintained its lead in the Professional League standings since the early rounds of the season, in a journey that also saw the team’s exit from the Algerian Cup and the CAF Champions League.
The management of MC Alger expressed its sincere thanks and appreciation to coach Rulani Mokwena and his technical staff for the work and efforts they provided throughout their period of supervising the team, wishing them every success in their future professional endeavors.
