The National Liberation Front (FLN) party will hold its Central Committee meeting on March 28 in the capital. The session is expected to address several organizational and political files related to the party’s work in the coming period.
The meeting will be hosted at the Hotel and Catering Center in Algiers. At the top of the agenda will be the discussion of the legislative elections file, which are expected to be held in a few months.
It is expected that a national body will be formed to handle the election file, which is considered a major test for the current FLN leadership, headed by Secretary-General Abdelkrim Benmubarak. The party faces the challenge of maintaining the first-place position it achieved in the June 2021 legislative elections.
