General Saïd Chanegriha, Minister Delegate to the Minister of National Defense and Chief of Staff of the National People’s Army, delivered a powerful speech to the soldiers who eliminated seven terrorists in the Tebessa military sector within the Fifth Military Region. A video was released on Sunday documenting the General’s visit to inspect the military detachments that participated in the qualitative counter-terrorism operation carried out on March 12 and 13, 2026.
Addressing the troops, the General stated: “Brave fighters, our presence in the field with you today is to encourage you. I convey to you the congratulations of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune for the results you achieved, which were the fruit of your efforts on the ground.”
Chanegriha added: “The achieved result demonstrates your courage and loyalty to the approach established by the leadership of the National People’s Army to combat terrorism. I urge you to continue fighting this scourge without pity or mercy, so that the Algerian people and the country’s leadership remain proud of you and your sacrifices.”
The General concluded his speech by saying: “Terrorism was defeated by the sons of Algeria, and we will continue so that Algeria remains a proud nation. I wish you further success.”
It is noteworthy that detachments of the National People’s Army in the Tebessa military sector of the Fifth Military Region succeeded in eliminating seven terrorists, including two leaders identified as Younes Saleh and Haddad Bilal. The operation resulted in the recovery of seven Kalashnikov-type submachine guns, a significant quantity of ammunition, and other items.
