The Minister of Mujahideen and Rights Holders, Abdelmalek Tachrifet, presided over the commemoration of the 64th anniversary of Victory Day, March 19, 1962, at Resistance Square in Algiers on Thursday.
In his speech, the minister emphasized that Victory Day represents the culmination of the genius of the November Revolution, which demonstrated to the world that the will of the people is invincible and that truth ultimately prevails.
Tachrifet stated that the era of victory is a continuous historical process. He noted that just as ancestors triumphed in the great battle for liberation, Algeria is now firmly establishing strategic victories in the battles of construction, development, and comprehensive progress under the leadership of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune.
He added that Algeria, nourished by the blood of its martyrs, deserves to have its unity, security, and stability preserved. He called for remaining united to ensure the advancement of the nation.
The Minister of Mujahideen also stressed that the independence generation, inspired by the spirit of the November Revolution, is renewing its commitment to building a strong and victorious Algeria.
He concluded by stating that Victory Day should serve as an occasion to renew the pledge to the homeland and honor the sacrifices of the martyrs and mujahideen, committing to exert every effort in the service of Algeria.
