The management of Olympique Akbou announced on Friday the transfer of one of its young players to the French club Saint-Étienne, the runner-up of Ligue 2, in a deal described as a “historical precedent” for the club.
In a statement, Akbou’s management explained that its young defender, Oussama Benbou, who plays for the under-20 team, has moved to Saint-Étienne. The club noted that this deal is a historic event, as it marks its first international transfer.
Akbou management indicated that Benbou, a player for the national under-20 team, joined Saint-Étienne on loan until the end of the current season, with an option to buy.
