The National Meteorological Office issued an alert on Tuesday regarding significant thunderstorms and heavy snowfall across several provinces of the country.
According to the alert, thunderstorms with rainfall amounts potentially exceeding 50 mm are expected from 9:00 AM today until 9:00 AM on Wednesday.
The alert covers the provinces of Tizi Ouzou, Bejaia, Jijel, Skikda, Annaba, El Tarf, Bordj Bou Arreridj, Setif, Mila, Constantine, Guelma, and Souk Ahras.
The office also warned of thunderstorms with rainfall amounts potentially exceeding 50 mm until 9:00 PM in the provinces of In Salah, Illizi, and Ouargla.
In another alert, snowfall is expected from noon today until 6:00 AM on Wednesday in the provinces of Tizi Ouzou, Bejaia, Jijel, Setif, Bordj Bou Arreridj, Mila, Oum El Bouaghi, and Tebessa.
