Weather Fluctuations: Several People Rescued and Stranded Vehicles Extracted

The General Directorate of Civil Protection has reported on the general situation following the recent weather fluctuations that affected several provinces across the country.

As of 08:00 AM this Thursday, Civil Protection services in Sétif Province, specifically in the municipality of Ain Legradj, intervened to extract a car stuck in the snow in Aguer Letnain village; the two occupants were found in good condition. In the municipality of Djemila, four vehicles carrying 15 people were extracted from the snow in Mechta El Bahara, with all individuals reported to be in good health.

In Mila Province, within the municipality of Oued Athmania, a vehicle stuck in water on National Road No. 05A at the Oulad El Kayem Sidi Khalifa junction was extracted; its two occupants were in good condition. In Illizi Province, specifically in the municipality of Bordj Omar Driss, Civil Protection units intervened to extract a vehicle stuck in Oued Tamzrouft, with no human casualties reported. Additionally, Civil Protection personnel in Chlef Province intervened following the rising water levels of Oued Kermia.
