The Minister of Environment and Quality of Life, Kaouter Krikou, oversaw the opening of a national meeting on climate-resistant plant species on Thursday at the General Directorate of Algerie Poste.
In her speech on the occasion, Krikou explained that this meeting comes as an embodiment of the directives of the President of the Republic, who has consistently emphasized the need to establish a comprehensive and integrated approach to confront the effects of climate change.
Krikou highlighted that the Green Dam project is one of the most prominent national and structural strategic projects, which has received special attention from the President of the Republic.
The minister also emphasized that the effort to confront climate challenges must include ensuring the sustainability of diversity and enhancing its ability to endure and remain resilient in the face of these changes, which requires a transition to a qualitative approach based on efficiency and innovation.
