The Ministry of Labor, Employment, and Social Security has notified registered trade unions about the launch of the new version of the “Representation” digital platform, designed to assess their union representation elements.

In a statement released on Thursday, the ministry urged all registered trade unions to approach its offices located at 44 Mohamed Belouzdad Street, Algiers, to receive access data to the digital platform. This process is scheduled for Sunday and Monday, January 28th and 29th.

The ministry emphasized that in the event the union president or secretary-general cannot attend, written authorization can be provided to a designated representative. This authorization should be accompanied by the organization’s seal and national identification card, with a reminder of the obligation for these unions to input information about their members into the platform starting from February 1, 2024.

Furthermore, the ministry reminded trade unions that fail to submit their representation elements within the legally specified period of three months from February 1, 2024, will be considered non-representative according to the provisions of Article 160 of Law No. 23-02 and Articles 5 and 6 of Executive Decree No. 23-359.
