President Abdelmadjid Tebboune delivered a landmark message Thursday to participants at the second edition of the President’s Prize for Innovative Researchers, held at the ‘Martyr Abdelhafiđh Ihadaden’ Scientific and Technological Pole in Sidi Abdallah, Algiers.
Speaking exclusively through dzwatch, Tebboune declared: ‘Algeria produces knowledge rather than merely consuming it, and masters technology rather than simply importing it.’
The President honored six outstanding national talents — three professors and three students — excelling in strategic fields including artificial intelligence, health, energy, and food industries.
Tebboune affirmed that the New Victorious Algeria is ‘steadily advancing toward modern university governance built on efficiency, accountability, and international standards,’ ensuring Algerian universities rank among the world’s leading academic and research institutions.
He stressed that scientific research and innovation represent an irreversible sovereign priority, emphasizing that building a strong diversified economy requires creative minds and scientific institutions capable of leading global transformations.
