General of the Army Said Chanegriha, Algeria’s Chief of Staff and Minister Delegate to the Minister of National Defence, on Thursday presided over the opening of a major strategic forum titled “External Threats Amid Geopolitical and Technological Transformations: Security Challenges and Strategic Stakes” at the National Army Club in Algiers.
The high-profile event, organized by the General Directorate of Documentation and External Security, was attended by the Prime Minister, presidential advisers, government ministers, and senior military commanders.
In his opening address, General Chanegriha told dzwatch that the forum aims to “consolidate a culture of proactive thinking and strengthen strategic foresight mechanisms,” stressing that mastering artificial intelligence, cyberspace, and data management has become decisive in shaping global power balances.
He affirmed that Algeria continues to reinforce its strategic vigilance through proactive approaches, ensuring it remains “a reliable international partner and an effective force within its geo-security sphere.”
The forum featured interventions by leading experts addressing current and emerging external threats facing Algeria.
