Algeria’s Attaf Holds Bilateral Talks with Jordanian Counterpart on Sidelines of Antalya Diplomatic Forum

Algerian Foreign Minister Ahmed Attaf held bilateral talks Friday in the Turkish city of Antalya with Jordan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi, on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomatic Forum.

The meeting served as an opportunity to reaffirm Algeria’s solidarity with Jordan over the negative repercussions it has endured from the military escalation across the Middle East region, while reaffirming the deep bonds of brotherhood and cooperation between the two nations.

Both ministers exchanged views and analyses on the current regional situation in light of the ceasefire agreement, expressing hope that ongoing negotiations would lead to a final settlement resolving all points of contention.

Attaf and Safadi stressed that the international community must not turn a blind eye to the tragic situation in the occupied Palestinian territories, including Gaza, the West Bank, and Holy Jerusalem.
