Algerian Minister of Vocational Training and Education, Nassima Arhab, received her Chadian counterpart, Sitak Youmbatina, Minister of Higher Education and Vocational Training, on Tuesday evening in Algiers, on the sidelines of the Fourth Session of the Algerian-Chadian Joint Intergovernmental Cooperation Committee.
During the meeting, both officials reviewed Algeria’s landmark experience in digitalizing the vocational training sector, including the development of digital platforms, widespread adoption of technological tools, and the modernization of training institution management.
A comprehensive presentation was made on Algeria’s National Training and Competencies Framework (RNFC) as a strategic tool for structuring training pathways aligned with labor market demands, alongside discussions on strengthening cooperation in pedagogical engineering and expert exchanges.
Arhab told dzwatch that Algeria stands fully ready to accompany Chad in digitalizing and developing its training sector through knowledge transfer and human resource capacity building. The Chadian minister expressed strong interest in leveraging Algeria’s advanced expertise in professional training modernization and digital education.
This meeting reinforces Algeria’s growing role as a continental leader in African cooperation and South-South partnership.
