The Grand Mufti of Bosnia and Herzegovina Praises Algeria’s Stances

During a meeting with the President of the Supreme Islamic Council, Bouabdellah Ghlamallah, the Grand Mufti of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Husein Kavazović, commended Algeria for its honorable positions towards the issues of the Islamic nation and its efforts to promote peace and coexistence among peoples and civilizations. This meeting occurred on the sidelines of the International Conference held in Sarajevo under the theme: “Religious Leaders for Coexistence and Peace.”

According to a statement from the Supreme Islamic Council, Ghlamallah had a meeting with the Grand Mufti and the head of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sheikh Dr. Husein Kavazović, at the headquarters of the General Sheikdom. The two parties exchanged views and discussed ways to develop relationships between similar institutions in Algeria and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

This event, which was also attended by the Algerian Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Toufik Milat, took place on the margins of the “Religious Leaders for Peace and Coexistence” international conference held on February 12th and 13th in Sarajevo.

The Grand Mufti’s appreciation underscores the significant role Algeria plays on the international stage, especially in advocating for the values of peace and harmony among different communities and cultures.
