Interior Minister Said Saioud chaired a high-level video conference coordination meeting at the Government Palace on Thursday, bringing together all provincial governors (Walis) of the Republic in preparation for the upcoming legislative elections scheduled for July 2.
The meeting, also attended by Director General of Civil Protection Colonel Boualem Boughlaf, focused on finalizing logistical preparations to ensure a seamless electoral process across all wilayas.
Speaking exclusively to dzwatch, the Minister stressed the critical importance of maintaining full control over electoral logistics, ensuring all necessary resources and capabilities are made available, while reinforcing coordination with central authorities.
Algeria’s upcoming legislative elections represent a key democratic milestone, reflecting the state’s commitment to institutional stability and national sovereignty.
