All eyes are increasingly turning to the wilaya of Tindouf, which is rapidly asserting itself as a rising commercial hub at the heart of Algeria’s strategic push toward African markets.
This momentum was powerfully underscored by the opening of a landmark exhibition showcasing Algerian export-ready goods and services, held under the banner “Tindouf: Gateway to West Africa” — drawing broad participation from economic operators and representatives across multiple African nations.
The event was far more than a commercial showcase. It represented a structural shift in Algeria’s export map, leveraging deep African ties as a natural extension of domestic markets.
A total of 104 Algerian companies and 45 artisan enterprises participated, spanning food industries, construction materials, renewable energy, and logistics services — demonstrating the depth and diversity of Algeria’s export capacity.
Foreign trade adviser Ali Bai Nasri told dzwatch exclusively that the Tindouf exhibition, held April 24–27, is a traditional fair in name only — it commands enormous enthusiasm, particularly among operators arriving from Mauritania, with significant national institutions leading the charge.
