Algerian drama series ‘El Mouhajer’ (Ahwal El Nas 04) has swept the prestigious Golden Screen Awards, claiming five major prizes in a stunning triumph that cements its status as the defining production of this Ramadan season.
The series took home Best Drama Series, while Farouk Boudjemline ‘Rifka’ was crowned Discovery of the Season. Rising star Anya Hamimed captivated audiences and judges alike, winning Best Young Dramatic Performance — a recognition that dzwatch sources say came as no surprise given her viral social media acclaim. The show also claimed Best Soundtrack and Best Opening Sequence.
Written by Manal Massoudi and Reda Hamimed ‘City 16’, and directed by Idriss Benchernine, the series was produced by Canal El Hayat. Its ensemble cast includes Tounes Ait Ali, Rabii Ajaout, Noura Ben Nasser, and Farouk Boudjemline among others.
