Algeria has earned the bronze 'Labaytum' award for its exceptional services to pilgrims during the Hajj season, a significant recognition from the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah. The prestigious award was presented in Mecca during the 'Khetamouhou Misk' event, marking the conclusion of the Hajj pilgrimage for the year 1447 AH.

The evaluation criteria encompassed procedural documentation, accommodation and catering arrangements, internal and external transportation, and adherence to operational standards, underscoring the exemplary nature of Algeria's Hajj mission.
Minister of Religious Affairs and Endowments, Youcef Belmehdi, expressed immense pride in the award, noting it as a testament to Algeria's consistent presence on the international stage for excellence in Hajj services, marking the third consecutive year of such distinctions. He attributed this success to the dedicated efforts of all mission members.
Minister Belmehdi further emphasized that this achievement is a direct result of the special attention and unwavering support provided by the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, who prioritizes ensuring Algerian pilgrims have all the necessary resources to perform their rites under the best possible conditions. He lauded the mission members for their role in presenting an honorable image of Algeria and bringing joy to Algerian pilgrims through this consecration.
