Algeria has been honored with the bronze 'Labaytum' award in Mecca, presented by the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah. This prestigious recognition celebrates the exceptional services provided by Algerian missions to pilgrims during the Hajj season of 1447 AH.

The award ceremony, part of the 'Khetamouhou Misk' event marking the conclusion of the Hajj season, acknowledged Algeria's exemplary organization and delivery of services related to the Hajj rituals. The criteria for the award encompassed the meticulous documentation of procedures, accommodation and catering contracts, internal and external transportation, and adherence to operational standards.
Minister of Religious Affairs and Endowments, Youcef Belmehdi, expressed his pride in this achievement, noting that it is the third consecutive year Algeria has been recognized with such distinctions. He attributed this success to the unwavering attention given by the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, to the welfare of Algerian pilgrims and his commitment to ensuring they have all the necessary means to perform their rituals under the best conditions.
Minister Belmehdi also commended the dedication of the mission members whose efforts have reflected positively on Algeria's image and brought joy to the pilgrims. He extended his congratulations to the Algerian pilgrims for successfully completing their rites and wished them a blessed Hajj.
Furthermore, the Minister conveyed his gratitude to the Saudi authorities for their effective cooperation and coordination, which were instrumental in the success of the Hajj season. He expressed hope for Algeria's continued achievements in various fields.
