Algeria Closes Hamdania Tunnels Temporarily for Maintenance
Algerian highway operator, Algérienne des Autoroutes (AADA), announced a temporary closure of the Hamdania tunnels on the North-South A1 highway. The affected section connects Hamdania and Chaffa.

The closure, which impacts both directions of the tunnels, is scheduled for one hour to allow Sonelgaz technicians to repair a technical fault. Traffic will be rerouted via National Road No. 01 during this period. AADA emphasized that this measure is being taken to ensure the safety of road users.
The maintenance is part of ongoing work on the Hamdania tunnels, a critical part of the A1 highway.
