Algerian coach Souleymane Rahou has led Tout Puissant Mazembe (TP Mazembe) to clinch the 31st edition of the Linafoot Ligue 1 championship, the top-tier football league in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The Ravens secured their 21st national title after finishing at the top of the "playoffs" stage. Their victory was cemented with a 2-0 win against Celeste on Saturday at the Kamalondo Stadium in the final round of the competition.

Goals were scored by Fwadi Bongiwe and goalkeeper Marck Mfutila (via penalty). With this win, TP Mazembe concluded the season with 30 points, earning a spot in the next CAF Champions League. They were closely followed by Vita Club, who secured second place with 29 points, also qualifying for the continental competition.
Third-placed Maniema Union (23 points) will participate in the CAF Confederation Cup, alongside the future winner of the Congo Cup. Rahou, a former Algerian international player, took over as head coach of TP Mazembe in January, succeeding Senegalese coach Lamine Mamadou Ndiaye. The 51-year-old Algerian tactician, who signed a contract until the end of the season, previously served as an assistant coach for the Congolese club during the 2021-2022 season.
