President Tebboune: Sánchez’s Visit Opens New Prospects for Algerian-Spanish Partnership

Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune said on Monday that Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez’s visit to Algeria represents a key milestone reflecting the strong political will of both friendly countries to advance their mutually beneficial bilateral partnership.

Speaking at a joint press conference following talks at the Presidency of the Republic in Algiers, President Tebboune expressed his deep satisfaction with the productive discussions held with the Spanish prime minister.

He noted that the longstanding relations between Algeria and Spain are currently experiencing renewed momentum, clearly demonstrated by Sánchez’s working and friendship visit.

President Tebboune described the visit as an important step in preparations for the eighth Algerian-Spanish High-Level Meeting, which is scheduled to take place in October. The upcoming meeting is expected to provide a major opportunity to strengthen political dialogue and expand cooperation between the two countries.
