President Tebboune Honors Algeria’s Top Baccalaureate and Middle School Graduates

President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune presided over an official ceremony honoring outstanding students who succeeded in Algeria’s Baccalaureate and Middle School Certificate examinations.

The ceremony was attended by senior state officials and members of the government, reflecting the importance Algeria places on education, academic excellence and the recognition of talented young people.

During the event, the country’s highest-achieving students were celebrated for the remarkable results they obtained after years of dedication, discipline and sustained academic effort. The ceremony also served as an opportunity to recognize the essential role played by teachers, educational staff and families in supporting students throughout their studies.

President Tebboune’s personal supervision of the event highlighted the attention given by the Algerian state to successful students and its commitment to encouraging a culture of merit, perseverance and excellence within the national education system.

The results of the 2026 Middle School Certificate examination were officially announced on June 14, while the Baccalaureate results were released on July 12. The national Baccalaureate success rate reached 56.18 percent.

The ceremony also carried a broader message to all Algerian students, encouraging them to remain committed to learning and to pursue their ambitions with confidence and determination.

By honoring the successful candidates in the presence of the country’s senior officials, Algeria reaffirmed that investing in education and supporting young talent remain central priorities for building a strong, modern and knowledge-based nation.
