President Tebboune Offers Condolences Over Death of Veteran and Religious Scholar Said El Hadj Mohamed Ben Ibrahim

Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune has sent a message of condolence to the family of veteran and religious scholar Said El Hadj Mohamed Ben Ibrahim, known as “Kaabach,” who passed away at the age of 97 after a long life dedicated to serving religion and the nation.

In his message, President Tebboune paid tribute to the late scholar’s distinguished career and contributions. Born in 1929 in El Atteuf, Ghardaia Province, Ben Ibrahim was described as one of Algeria’s respected national figures and a symbol of honorable leadership.

Throughout his life, he devoted significant efforts to religious preaching, reform, and social initiatives. He also served as president of the Ennahda Association between 2002 and 2006, contributing to its educational and community activities.

President Tebboune highlighted the deceased’s lifelong commitment to spreading religious knowledge and promoting the tolerant values of Islam. He also contributed to the education and training of generations of students, leaving behind an important scholarly and religious legacy that will remain part of Algeria’s collective memory.

Following his passing, President Tebboune extended his sincere condolences and deepest sympathy to Ben Ibrahim’s family, the revolutionary community, his students, and all those who knew and respected him.
