Algerian Younes Ayachi Achieves World Title in U20 High Jump, Hailed by President Tebboune

Algerian athlete Younes Ayachi has achieved a remarkable triumph, becoming the junior world champion in the high jump discipline. This significant victory occurred during the World Athletics Championships for the U20 category held in Oregon, USA, marking a proud moment for Algerian sport on the international stage.

Ayachi demonstrated exceptional skill and determination throughout the competition, ultimately securing the top position in the high jump final. He successfully cleared a height of 2.21 meters on his first attempt, a performance that proved decisive in claiming the gold medal for Algeria. Notably, this achievement was accomplished despite the athlete reportedly competing while managing an injury.
