Official Exchange Rates for Dinar Announced by Central Bank

The Bank of Algeria has published the official exchange rates for the Algerian Dinar against several major foreign currencies. This announcement provides crucial financial information, setting the buy and sell rates for banknotes and traveler's checks for the current week, effective from August 30 to September 5, 2026. This regular release of official rates contributes to economic transparency and facilitates financial transactions for citizens and businesses across the nation.

For banknotes, the official buying rate for one US Dollar is set at 130.96 Algerian Dinars, with the selling rate at 138.95 Dinars. The Euro is listed with a buying rate of 152.62 Dinars and a selling rate of 161.96 Dinars. Other significant currencies include the British Pound, which has a buying rate of 178.12 Dinars and a selling rate of 189.02 Dinars, and 100 Japanese Yen, available at a buying rate of 82.17 Dinars and a selling rate of 87.20 Dinars.

Traveler's checks also have specific rates; for instance, one US Dollar traveler's check is bought at 132.29 Dinars and sold at 138.95 Dinars, while one Euro traveler's check is bought at 154.17 Dinars and sold at 161.96 Dinars. The central bank also specified rates for the Swiss Franc, Canadian Dollar, Danish Krone, Swedish Krona, Norwegian Krone, UAE Dirham, Saudi Riyal, and Kuwaiti Dinar, ensuring comprehensive guidance for a wide range of international currencies and financial instruments.
