AAPI Awards Land Concessions for Six Wilayas’ Economic Growth
The Algerian Agency for Investment Promotion (AAPI) has announced the issuance of economic land concession deeds across six wilayas. These operations facilitate investments in key sectors, including industry, agriculture, services, health, hospitality, and hydrocarbon-related activities. This initiative aims to provide land to investors for projects that will contribute to the diversification of the national economy, strengthen local supply, and create employment opportunities. Public authorities have been actively reorganizing the management of industrial and economic land to enhance transparency, accelerate attribution procedures, and ensure the productive use of land.
Among the specific projects, an act of concession in Tlemcen was granted to "Fab Machine Nouha" for an agricultural machine manufacturing unit in the Ouled Ben Damou industrial zone, which is expected to create 104 jobs and support the agricultural sector's modernization efforts. In Ouargla, two projects received concessions: one for manufacturing pumps for various applications, including the oil services and agricultural sectors, and another for producing Saharan rooms designed to adapt to the requirements of several activities, particularly in southern regions.
Further concessions were made in other wilayas to advance local development. In Timimoun, an investor received a concession for a service station project, enhancing the fuel distribution network and supporting mobility and commercial activity in a wilaya known for its oasis agriculture, services, and Saharan tourism. Ouled Djellal saw "Palmi d’Or Ouled Djellal" receive a concession for a 3-star hotel, which will bolster accommodation capacity amidst increased professional travel and economic activity. In El M’Ghair, "Bouanan Dialyse" secured land for a medical clinic, aiming to strengthen local healthcare services and improve access for residents. Lastly, in Khenchela, an investor obtained a concession for a cheese factory in Babar El Tell, projected to create 78 direct jobs and support agro-food transformation and local livestock breeders.
