Economic Operators Gain More Time for Production Declarations
The Ministry of Industry has announced an extension for the submission of production declarations through its national digital platform, "PRODNAT." This period, initially set to conclude sooner, has been prolonged by an additional 15 days, now spanning from September 1 to September 15, 2026. The decision was made in response to numerous requests from economic operators, aiming to provide concerned institutions with ample opportunity to finalize their production declarations.
This obligation to declare production applies to all economic operators, encompassing both natural and legal persons from the public and private sectors. These entities are subject to the provisions of the joint ministerial decision dated April 26, 2025, which outlines the methods for industrial sector companies producing goods to provide data on their output and utilized input components, as well as to prepare activity reports. The Ministry of Industry clarified that this extension falls under the implementation of Article 48 of Law No. 18-18 of December 27, 2018, relating to the 2019 Finance Law, while the extension itself is based on Article 9 of the same joint ministerial decision.
To further facilitate this process, the Ministry has established information and guidance cells at each provincial directorate of industry. These cells are tasked with coordinating with economic operators and addressing their inquiries and concerns, ensuring declarations are completed within the new timeframe. The Ministry underscored that any failure to comply with the joint ministerial decision's provisions will result in penalties outlined in Article 48 of Law No. 18-18. The overall initiative, involving production declarations via the PRODNAT platform, is part of the Ministry of Industry's ongoing efforts to gather precise data and statistics on national production, thereby supporting informed decision-making and enhancing the visibility of industrial enterprises' activities.
