New Agri-Food, Digital Projects to Create Over 1300 Algerian Jobs

Algeria's Investment Promotion Agency (AAPI) has announced the allocation of economic land through several concession contracts, facilitating the establishment of new investment projects. These initiatives are strategically focused on the agri-food and digital services sectors and are projected to generate more than 1300 jobs upon their realization.

In Bordj Bou Arreridj, three distinct concession contracts have been granted for projects situated within the Mechta Fatima industrial zone. These include the development of a cold storage facility by Sarl Line tex groupe, a cheese factory by Sarl Bichari Leader Chees, and a chocolate production unit by Sarl Saouthern Cacao Company. The latter project is notably supported by an investor from the Algerian community residing abroad. These three investments alone are expected to create over 981 direct jobs, contributing significantly to the expansion of the local industrial base and the agri-food industry in the wilaya.

Further strengthening the nation's digital capabilities, a fourth concession contract was awarded in Blida to Sarl « Diar Dzair pour le commerce électronique et l’innovation ». This land, located in the commune of El Affroun, is designated for the construction of a data center. According to AAPI, this project will enhance digital infrastructure and services within the Blida wilaya, with an estimated creation of 340 jobs.
