Lounes Magramane, Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, visited Moscow on Wednesday to co-chair the third session of Algerian-Russian political consultations alongside Mikhail Bogdanov, Special Representative of the Russian President for African and Middle Eastern countries, and Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, “During this meeting, the two parties discussed the current state of bilateral relations and ways to enhance cooperation, in the context of continuing to implement the Deep Strategic Partnership Declaration signed during President Abdelmadjid Tebboune’s visit to Russia in June 2023.”
The agenda of this session also allowed for an exchange of views and positions on several current issues at the regional and international levels, particularly the developments in the Sahel region, the occupied Palestinian territories, and the Western Sahara issue.
