Minister of Trade Chairs Important Meeting

Minister of Trade and Export Promotion Tayeb Zitouni chaired a crucial meeting today, Wednesday, at the ministry’s headquarters with the intersectoral ministerial committee responsible for preparing Algeria’s official participation program in international economic events.

During the meeting, the Minister emphasized the importance of adhering to precise standards to ensure effective and fruitful participation in these events, according to a ministry statement.

Zitouni stressed the necessity of carefully selecting exporting companies that can represent Algeria in the best possible light and maximize the benefits from these participations. He emphasized the need to evaluate the participation of Algerian operators in recent economic events to improve performance and ensure the achievement of desired objectives.

The Minister also highlighted the importance of choosing countries that can open new markets and enhance Algerian exports.

In this context, he pointed out the significance of considering the African dimension when selecting economic events, especially in light of the African Continental Free Trade Area, which represents a significant opportunity to boost intra-African trade and economic cooperation.

Zitouni underscored that honoring Algeria in these events requires thorough preparation and meticulous organization, focusing on presenting an honorable image of the country’s economic capabilities.

He called on all committee members to work diligently and with dedication to strengthen Algeria’s presence on the international economic stage.
