Minister of Culture and Arts, Souria Mouloudji, announced the lifting of the freeze on the complementary study and urgent rehabilitation works for the old city of Tenes, with a budget of 100 million dinars.
According to a ministry statement, Mouloudji, during her field visit to the Chlef province, reviewed the permanent plan for the preservation and restoration of the protected sector of the old city of Tenes, which has been completed and approved.
During her visit, Mouloudji toured the old city of Tenes, one of the most important historical cities on the Algerian coast. The city is rich with landmarks that testify to its various historical phases and was designated as a protected sector in 2007.
